It is a great scale if you don't need an accurate weight, if you ship large bulky items, or your average item to be weighted is over 50 pounds. Before 50 pounds the accuracy is questionable. This scale has very generous tolerance policy, my brand new machine is off by six ounces, it weighs six ounces less than the item actually weighs. The only way to calibrate it is with a 150 pound weight. I kid you not. I have called their customer service and they have a buyer beware policy. They say any weight off up to 1.5 pounds is within their guidelines. They told me it was not met for "legal trade or shipping purposes." This despite the fact, it comes with a companion postage label machine and shows pictures of USPS priority mail labels on the package. The back also says "ship from you PC or Mac" "makes it easy to ship via U.S. Postal Service." But these are not to be used for shipping weights according to their customer service...
