This machine is simple, doesn't require software and works well. The quality of the pictures is not perfect, but adequate. I have thousands of slides to reproduce so at 4 at a time it's going to take some time, but overall I'm happy with this machine. We started scanning this weekend, and not only is this scanner quick and easy to use, it did a great job!! We weren't sure what we were going to end up with considering the slides had not been stored correctly and were beginning to deteriorate .... but even without any editing software, so many of the scans are just fantastic!!
